    New treatments for MS (and Alzheimer's) on the horizon

    I just read this article this morning where there is a new drug which they are hoping can treat MS, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's. How exciting!

    I also read another article at that same site about a clinical trial where they used IVIG to treat Alzheimer's patients and found that after 3 years, there was no decline in those who had received a particular dosage. It totally halted the symptoms. They are preparing now for Phase III trials on that. I hope it works. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease! (My mom had dementia before she passed away in 2005 and totally forgot who I was.)

    Joy is not the absence of suffering. It is the presence of God.
    Cut aspartame from my diet in 2012 and my symptoms have slowly disappeared. Interesting!
    Alpha Lipoic Acid (200 mg) + Acetyl L-carnitine (1,000 mg) = No more fatigue for me!

    Interesting...now google:

    cytokines curcumin

    Followed by:

    multiple sclerosis curcumin
    alzheimer curcumin

    Populations in India, Southeast Asia have extremely low rates of Alzheimer's and MS - they eat lot's of Tumeric (Curcumin).

    Curcumin = $15 a bottle

      re: Curcumin

      From what I've read from other who have done some research on Curcumin, that we should buy it with either Bromelain or Bioperine, as those help the body absorb it much better than if you took Curcumin alone.
