I also had my first IPIR and it was scary, but not as scary as yours was, your does sound like an allergic reaction because of the swelling and hives. Please keep us posted on how you do on the Rebif.
The reaction I had actually knocked my confidence down. When I give my shots and sit there waiting for the dreaded reaction, so far I'm a week back into it and all is good. I've been happy with Copaxone and will stay on it unless I have another reaction.
Maybe soon we will all have the great news they have figured out MS and give us that cure!
