Right now I'm just on Betaseron (and then two other meds for ENT issues and birth control). That's probably going to change now though that I'm having other symptoms. I tried Detrol LA in the past and quit because of the side effects but I want to try a different med now.

OK, I already have to change my answer. I'm on:
Betaseron (though that might be changing)
          Baclofen (as needed)
          Vesicare
Plus BC and two different steroid nasal sprays for ENT issues.

You know, I've seen lists are larger than mine (my prescribed meds). My neuro told that I take too many meds, and she told my epilepsy neuro that she wants me to lower the amount of meds I take for my bipolar! Not that he has any pull over that. Yes, I'm considering stopping one of the meds because of twitching.....but it's not her job to evaluate the meds that keep my mood stable!
            Diagnosis: May, 2008
            Avonex, Copaxone, Tysabri starting 8/17/11

Has your Dr. told you that Soma is being discontinued? My pain mgt. informed me of this at my last appt. & that they would need to start weening me onto something else. I researched it online because I have tried most everything & its the only thing that seemed to work. The only thing I could find that would pertain in a negative way to me would be that they don't recommend taking it for more than a few weeks & I am going on 6yrs! The pain clinic I go to does not like Soma & while that fine with me, I don't like that I had one of the drs yell at me in the waiting room, saying it would rot my brain & now this dr telling me they weren't going to make it anymore.

Sheesh, I'm not stupid & I'm not an addict, give me logical reasoning as to why they don't like to prescribe it & I will most definitely consider trying something else again but quit the scare tactics & the lies!!!

Have you had any of these issues?

Dx 2004, Copx, Rebif, Ty Beta- I'm done!!

                The essentials:
                Beta- The big gun.
Lisinopril- Low dose for high-ish BP (starting tomorrow) probably due to heredity.

                The "as needed"s:
                Amatadine- For MS fatigue.
Aleve- Beta pre-med although I want to phase it out.
Benedryl gel caps- For MS "itchies".
Probiotic caps- For constipation from Amantadine, not taken on same day as Amantadine.

The "lets give it a shot"s:
Vit D gel caps- 5,000 IU a week but I'm really on the fence with this.

I've had MS 20+ years and now SPMS. I have only spinal lesions and my major symptom is leg spasticity.

                    Low Dose Naltrexone 4.5mg
                    4-AP (3 x 10mg daily)
                    Baclofen (4 x 20mg daily)

I take any supplement that has been researched to have an impact on MS:

                    Alpha Lipoic Acid
                    B-Complex
                    Vitamin D
                    Magnesium
                    Fish Oil / Krill Oil
                    Flax Oil
                    N-acetyl Glucosamine
                    Acetyl L Carnitine
                    Curcumin
                    Cinnamon
                    Cayenne

Low fat diet, no processed foods, little sugar. Lot's of fruits and veggies.

No longer feel like a druggy

Thanks so much for this thread. When I first was diagnosed I was one of those I am only going to take motrin and my ms medication at the time ( Rebif ) I also changed my entire diet minimal processed lots of green and red veggies and fruits and lost 40 lbs. NOW! and 13 flares in a little over 2 1/2 years later.

                            Tysabri once per month
welbutrin ( so as also not to kill my loved ones )
ms contin twice per day- for the pain that goes from right hip to right foot all day and night without it I would die
                            clonopin - to sleep
simvastatin - because my primary says I have to
                            seasonique
                            adviar twice a day
                            proventil when needed
                            percocet for breakthrough pain
tizanidine for the tree trunk leg feeling I get
colace every other day ( thanks ms contin )

Without these meds I feel that I would have no quality of life. And I quit driving a year ago 1 because of my leg issue and 2 because of the above list. And if my liver goes oh well at least I got to enjoy my family most days instead of never.
