Remeron and Weight Gain

I am one Remeron (mirtazipine) it works good it even helps me sleep but I cant stop eating. This med makes hungry all the time. Is anyone else on this? What can I do to sop all this eating?

I was on it and packed on 20 pounds in a week from water weight gain. My son is on it - they chose Remeron as his anti-depressant specifically for the weight gain properties, but after a certain point you do hit a wall where you don't gain anymore - or maybe that's just my son. When I went off it 6 months later I lost all the weight within a week, but it hadn't increased my appetite, it was just water weight (I topped out at over 200 pounds - a point I had never been before, and never want to see again).
