Does anyone know why ms is much more prevalent here? And much more in cooler climates - any thoughts? My grammar and her sister had it, we are from here.

Hi debby rae and welcome fellow Washingtonian! I live north of you and always wondered the same. Who really knows the answer? There is a prevalence of descendents of northern Europe here and the lack of sunshine/Vit. D in northern climes according to this article http://www.invw.org/article/multiple...is-resear-1328
The good part of this is that we have an abundance of neuros who are MS Specialists and lots of research going on in the UW.
