    Soooo frustrated!

I've been having neurological symptoms for about 4 months. One sided numbness/weakness, numb tongue, eye issues, bladder and bowel issues, twitching, vibration, to name a few. I went to a neurologist who has done lots of tests including 2 MRI's evoked potentials and blood work. He wanted me to see the ms specialist in the office but that dr. didn't want to see me because I haven't had a LP. In the mean time my blood work came back with high gamma globulin protein so now they are sending me to a Hematologist who can't see me till the end of the month. I am out of work because I am an EMT/ Fire fighter and can't do my job confidently with everything going on. Any ideas or suggestion on what might be my next step would be much appreciated!

Jw534: It sounds like you should wait for your appointment at the end of the month. You should talk to your Fire House about either short term disability or family medical leave until this date since you feel like you cannot work until you have this sorted out.

I wish you the best and hope you feel better soon!

Unfortunately I am perdiem so I can't get disability. They have been very understanding but it means no income. I am going to see the Hematologist and see what happens. I just wish I could get some answers. Thanks for your reply.
