    First Neurologist Appointment Tomorrow...

    Hey all,
So, tomorrow is going to be my first neurology appointment I've ever had. i'm kinda nervous about it. I don't really know what to expect. I'm still afraid that they're just gonna tell me it's all psychosomatic symptoms and there's nothing really wrong with you.

I got kinda discouraged today went I went to see my PCP. I had mentioned to her about getting an MRI done and she said that she personally wasn't sure I should have one seeing as my EMG results were just fine, nothing wrong. But she did refer me to a neruologist. So I guess she kinda has an idea what to do. It just kinda seemed to me that if she wasn't going to do the MRI its like she was at the end of the line for tests to see whats wrong with me.

I had an eye exam a couple weeks back. The eye doc said that my eyes are perfectly fine so whatever is going on is neurological. Lets just hope the neurologist gets things going with new tests like an MRI and stuff.

well. wish me good luck tomorrow.

Good luck with your neuro appt today!
I'll be going to my first next week, so I can't help much in regards to telling you what to expect. My regular dr ordered a brain MRI in me, then last week the nurse called, told me my dr said it "looked fine" but he he was canceling my follow up appointment with him and sending me to a neuro. So I'm somewhat in the same boat as you.

Let us know how your appt goes!

Good luck! I hope you get answers soon. You didn't mention your symptoms but if you have a neurologist who is an MS specialist, he/she should be proactive.

My eye doctor told me I was probably just tired and stressed when I went to see him on short notice with double vision. He even dialated my eyes and found nothing of concern. 12 hours later I was in the ER with major optic neurosis (my eye was pointed the WRONG direction) and on my way to being diagnosed.

So. Totally discouraged. (though it should be noted that this was not an MS specialist)

The neuro said that my symptoms didn't look worrying. The leg pain is probably just nothing and give it some time it should just go away on its own.

Not sure what to do next he didn't even want to do anything other than the simple in office tests he did. And my PCP won't be in the whole month of February.

          *sigh*

I wrote a post with all my symptoms titles "my story so far" either here or in the young/adult part of the forum. Can't remember.
