    Good-Bye Limbo Land!

And hello, MS. I was officially diagnosed today. Since I'd already seen the images, I was prepared & I think I'm doing ok. My neuro was very positive about our ability to manage this, which helped make me more confident.

I do have several lesions on my spinal cord and, as it turns out, the spots of demyelination the radiologist saw on my brain MRI were Dawson's fingers. They're relatively small, but they're there. Thank goodness my neuro looked at the images himself.

I'll be starting on Rebif as soon as we get all of the arrangements made. He is also referring me to an MS specialist at a teaching hospital because he wants to be sure that I get the best care I can and because he wants to know that he's doing the right things for me.

So, I guess I'm joining the club. It's not something I wanted, but I am glad to have answers, a plan & some validation, which is a whole lot more than I had before. I know I'll have ups and downs, but I'm feeling pretty positive & am just determined to keep going.

Welcome to the club, Cira. Sorry you got the bad news, but out of limbo land you go. You have a good attitude. Try to keep up the good fight. Good luck

Welcome to the club with us Cira. Sorry you had to join, but you knew it was coming. Glad you are seeing an MS specialist. Be sure about Rebif before you start. Copaxone makes you feel far less awful. But it is your choice.

Glad you have made some decisions.
      Take care
