    What comes after the MRI?

I'm waiting to get the MRI results of the thoracic and brain. I already know that all the vitamin levels came back fine. I'm getting anxious for the results.
My walking is getting worse by the day now. This is making it harder to take care of my special needs son and all his medical needs.
So here is my question for thsoe who are struggling to get a dx. If the MRI comes back clear, knowing also that the vit levels did too, what is the next thing we need to do? My guess would be spinal tap?

If you feel your vitamin levels came back OK, you need to ask what those levels are 'exactly'. Some doctors don't know much about vitamin levels. I would ask for the exact numbers and the range that your doctor is using as a gauge.
The next step I would take, before the LP, is a Gadolinium enhanced MRI. It is sort of a half step before an LP. Then if you do not find some lesions, you would probably need the LP. I don't have any suggestions for you if there isn't anything in the tests that suggests MS. I wish you luck in your search.

I go back next week for the contrast MRI results. Hoping they found something! In the meantime, he doubled my zanaflex, so hopefully I'll get some relief while I wait from the spasticity at least!

hi, sorry to hear that your symptoms are getting worse by the day.

After my MRI, I was sent for steroid infusions to take care of my symptoms (pins and needles progressing from fingers up my hands). 5 days of that.

Then I had an LP to check for O-Bands. when the results of that came back I was referred to a MS specialist.

all that and still no dx
