    Looking for Answers

In April of this year, I began having a light tingling feeling in my legs. From that time until now, I've had various symptoms come and go - tingling and soreness in my legs and feet, light shakiness in my hands, a tight/sore feeling in my back and shoulders, and occasional headaches with light dizziness. I've also always had a weak stomach dating back to high school.

Since April, I have seen multiple specialists and have had numerous tests done. I have been to a Neurologist, Gastrointestinal Doctor, and Rheumatologist. I have had three positive ANA tests and have been diagnosed with mild neuropathy in my legs. They performed an EKG and a CT scan of my head and both came back normal. All blood tests have come back normal aside from the positive ANA. However, my symptoms still persist.

At this point, the neurologist seems more interested in trying to medicate me for the symptoms than find out the cause of all of this. My mother has MS and was misdiagnosed at first, so I always try to be proactive with medical problems.

I am just looking for guidance on what might be going on and what steps I should take going forward. I'm also curious to see if these symptoms sound like possible MS. I am thinking of going in to a autoimmune specialist at the Cleveland Clinic, but I'm unsure of what step to take next.

    Thanks all!

Yes I did. He responded by telling me how small the odds are of someone who has one family member with MS also having MS is.
