27 Just diagnosed last week March 2011

Starting on copaxone in two weeks, any advice

I think we could give you enough advice to fill a book. For right now, the biggest one would be - don't expect yourself to adjust quickly. Accepting the diagnosis gets easier with time.

I was 27 when I was diagnosed. MS does turn your life upside down, but things will get better. Try to stay positive and focus on what blessings you have in your life. It will help a lot in the long run.

If you have questions, contact your local MS chapter. They were extremely helpful when I was first diagnosed. I just joined MSworld the other day. I wish I knew about it 8 years ago. This is a wonderful site and I have thoroughly enjoyed talking to many others about MS related things and questions. Everyone has been very welcoming.

      Take care

        DT,

        you're not alone.
The first year is the hardest
It does get better; you get used to it somehow
        It's not necessarily downhill fast
Get this book from Amazon or your library. If you start now, you stand a good chance.
