    Slow Urination

So - this is a strange subject. I've always urinated quickly. Now all of a sudden it is very slow and I can't do anything to speed it up. It is like I have less control. I've also experience some lack of control periodically. Luckily it has been only very small amounts so it has not yet led to an embarrassing situation. Anyone else slow? Is this a change for you?

Since you do not have a diagnosis of MS I would suggest you get checked for a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). If no infection your doctor can recommend other possible reasons or refer you to a specialists such as a GYN or Urologist.

I have a DX of MS and that was one of my symtoms However I started to stop peeing also all together it would'nt come out. I would sit on the pot for many mins feeling my bladder was full. It lasted for a couple months it was due to my MS relapes. I almost had to use a cath yikes... go to see a urloigest.

Yes!! I am slow too! And then sometimes, it's like a big ol' emergency and I have to RUN to the bathroom. Unless I wait until I REALLY have to go, I'll sit there for at least 2 minutes until the trickle begins, lol. I guess I should go see a urologist, but I think the ms dx has given me a phobia of docs, lol!

          slow urination

I've also noticed a problem with starting to urinate the past couple months. It seems the worst in the morning when I first get up and is getting a bit better the past week. I had a feeling it was from the MS (I was just diagnosed in March 2011), but always heard about incontinence, not the other way around. I definitely have less of a problem if I'm drinking a lot of fluids during the day.
I think it would have to be a lot worse before I'd drag myself to a urologist. I'll probably just run it past my PCP and see what he has to say. Another chapter in this crazy new life.

Me too. Mentioned it to neoro's office and they did not seem real oncerned. Guess my walking was this time. Starting Ampyra on Tuesday......

It feels like a hose is on slow instead of full power. No leakage yet, so I just take my time in the bathroom now.

I jumped off the table and said HELL NO!!!! I would rather it take me 10 mins to pee then go though that test! Whew! could you imagine?
I told him to go have it done he laughed but I was serous!
