Hasn't been a good last few days
My urologist did cystoscopy and replaced a stent placed in bladder to help drain my bladder Tuesday. Last time he did it said there was pus around the stent, and couldn't visualize anything with kidney. Was supposed to be every 3 months. Now he changed his mind, and wants a specialist to place a catheter in my back, directly into my kidney. Really don't want that. Would mean I'd have two catheters and two urine bags. Still need the sp catheter to drain my neurogenic bladder.
Frustrating he keeps changing mind. Do have some infections going on, which I figured. Called his office to let him know. Urine was really cloudy with some mucusly looking stuff in it. Said that was normal, because the stent irritates the bladder. Certainly didn't look normal to me! Put me on antibacterial for one infection he saw, and another for a yeast infection. Know wonder it looked so bad! It looks clear now.
He had me show up at the hospital for the procedure at 11 am, but they told me he was still seeing patients in his office until 1 pm. Procedure wasn't done until after 3 pm. Why do that? My time is valuable, too! My husband was mad because he has a lot of work to do, and could've worked that extra time.
Then after I got home, had a fever of 102 F. Lasted entire night and finally broke around 2 pm the next day. Whenever I get a fever, I can't move because of my heat intolerance from the MS. Thankfully it broke and hasn't returned. Hopefully stays that way.
