Genetic testing for PML

Hello all!
I’m still contemplating whether I’ll start Mavenclad but just came across something interesting, there is new (free) genetic test that determines if you’re at increased risk of developing PML. I know I am JC + already which concerns me.
Has anyone heard of this? Here is a link to check it out.

I have not, but it is interesting. I did know they found some gene variants they feel raises the PML risk.

Maybe you could discuss with your Neuro and get his/her opinion. It says they are HIPAA compliant. I guess the questions I would have is what do they do with the sample and can they use it for other testing, etc...

You don’t give your name on sample. So it’s “supposed” to be private. I’ll be running it by my neuro and the MS nurse. Seems if it was worthwhile, all Drs would have their patients partake!
