EarWorms and MS. Do you have them?

So what is an ear worm? Is it an actual squiggly creature? Nope.

If you haven’t heard of them, they are musical hallucinations, which can be caused by focal brain disease.

Most seem to come and go quickly and randomly, one MS patient has had them for years.

Do you have earworms and what are they singing today? Hello Whitney Houston. LOL

Ain't that the truth! Do you have them Koko?

One fascinating factor in my experience is they always arrive when I wake up first thing in the morning, and they are always songs I haven't listened to or heard in years.

Hopefully we can get some more positive earworms singing and bouncing around here!

            How fun!

Being a grandma (call me Ama), I had baby shark as an earworm for way too long! Glad that's over.

Yes! We are starting a Earworm Revolution. Join the movement people! LOL

Ahhh Ama, baby shark! Sheesh, I think that was one for many.

Love your Beatles Earworm, so uplifting! We need more of that good stuff.

                Honestly, I don't know!

I need to have some type of music going on at all times (when not watching something on TV).

Even during my quiet times and while I sleep, I have meditation or soft classical type music playing in the background.

For some odd reason, I need auditory input / stimulation all of the time - but only if it is pleasing to my ears, not just any old noise.

Completely understandable KoKo! It's so intriguing how everyone with MS processes sound differently. Some like you need constant sound, others intermittent and others more silence. All so very unique.

My non-MS husband, a musician, has these every day! I think it's common for many.
