Wow...and here I was thinking I was the only one who was doing so wonderful on these so-called tests! I feel like I was pulled over for a DUI or something during the "dog and pony show" (good one to the person who posted "dog and pony show"...an exacting description!) As far as the "white coat syndrome" goes, I don't play weak, but instead try to wrestle my poor little neuro to the ground to prove I still got it (but what "it" is, I don't rightly know)!
These tests do have value, but as to what the value is, I forget. We have, however, discussed why we do these goofy tests many times on this board. If I wasn't so lazy, I would find a link to reference.
In the final analysis, what else can our docs they do for us but listen to our problems and do these dumb tests? They have to entertain us somehow in order to renew our Rxs and justify their high medical specialist bills!
I asked my neurologist if anybody else hates these tests as much as I do (I mean, it's not like they're painful or invasive), and his response was, "Yes. Everybody."
