These are my symptoms please help me

Guys I'm lost, I'm sorry I don't know what to do. Here's my story the last 2 1/2 years and my symptoms.

30 year old male , aunt has MS.

    Eyes-
Floaters in eyes appeared 2 1/2 years ago and are still present
Flashes of light , almost like looking into a light bulb but it gets caught in your eyes.
Specialist couldn't find any inflammation with the optic nerve.

Hands - right wrist pain, would make up with numb hands for almost 6 months.
Feels like glove is on right hand some days.

Legs- feel heavy in general, I also get this weird feeling in my right calf every other day while standing. Like there's tightness around it but no pain.
Went through a couple months of knee pain and buckling.

Feet- buzzing in both heels every once in a while.

Back - lower back pain , weird feeling in left shoulder blade rarely.

Hi - You have come to a very good place to find support and hopefully get some good information.

They symptoms that you describe certainly sound like many of the different MS symptoms that can present themselves. But, there are also many other things that can cause these symptoms.

You haven't mentioned if you have been to a doctor about your symptoms.

That would be my first suggestion. There are a number of tests that can be done to try to figure out what is going on. Some of these tests can rule out other medical conditions.

An MRI would probably be in order, with and without contrast. Some doctors may also order a lumbar puncture.

It can be a long road to get to the end. But I wish you the best of luck in trying to find the answers to your questions.

I've seen three optomologist all haven't been able to find anything wrong.

Saw a neurologist whom did physical tests , had me walk etc, did Meg tests on arm. They didn't think it was anything either and thought I might have severe anxiety which is true.... He said he would set up an MRI for my piece of mind but I currently don't have health insurance so it's not an option right now unfortunately.....

        Hi Ckid and WELCOME!...........
I have read here that one of the MS org's might help with the MRI. Maybe a moderator will chime in and post the info.

        Hang in there!

You are right, Gomer, the MSAA (MS Association of America) has an MRI assistance program. The MRI Diagnostic Fund helps individuals who are suspected of having MS obtain an initial diagnostic MRI exam.To read more: http://www.mymsaa.org/msaa-help/mri/

This might be the way to go, ChicagoKid. Good luck to you!

            Kid:
Do not let lack of insurance prevent investigating these symptoms.

IF you have MS it is important to get on treatment asap. Per my neurologist: Time = Brain.

Either line up some coverage before you get a diagnosis (and remember mum's the word while shopping around; you're still young and should be able to get decent rates) or negotiate an out of pocket payment for the MRI and line up a payment plan.

PS The numb hands thing, I had. The "glove" feeling, also a classic ms symptom. Do not let someone's comments about anxiety sidetrack your physical symptoms. It is more logical to attribute physical symptoms to a physical cause; I would think that acute physical symptoms from anxiety would be more along the lines of gastrointestinal distress at this stage of the game...you're kinda new with the symptoms per your narrative. Look of the definition of acute as it regards to timeline of symptoms, not severity.

            Good luck.
