I'm 44. I never had a problem with fireworks as a child. I've never had a "bad experience" with them, as my family never bought/used them. I'm not a veteran, I've never been shot..... in short, NO reason to have a fear of fireworks. And yet............
Every year it gets worse. Part of this, I'm sure, is that every year, more and more neighbors think that they HAVE to blow up as MANY things as they can. But last night, I was at the point of tears. My DOG handled it better than I did. Seriously. And he wet the couch last time we had a thunderstorm.
I don't know if it has anything at all to do with the MS, with the "sensory overload" issue, or what. But if ANYONE here has any insight, please share!!! I know that tonight is going to be almost as bad as last night, and I'd rather not spend it in bed with earplugs, on the verge of tears, while reading to keep my mind busy.
