constant bad pain down my back and through my legs

For months I have constantly been having very bad pain down my back including the base of my neck and throughout my legs. I finally asked my neuro about it and he said it was MS muscle spasms and gave me Zanaflex. Well just 1/8 of a pill put me to sleep and I was still feeling "drugged" the next day!! Is anyone taking something not sedating that will help. I can't live with this added pain?! Please help.

I can't tolerate Zanaflex. I'm so dizzy afterwards I have to lie down. Another option is Baclofen. You might be better at tolerating that. No guarantee it won't still make you tired when you first start taking it, though. Drowsiness can be a side effect of these that your body will, hopefully, adjust to.

Worth trying to help your pain! Another thing is trying physical therapy to learn how to stretch, use & strengthen your muscles properly. That can help alleviate your pain.

    Best wishes,
    Kimba
