Five days ago had a root canal...only second one.. I don't remember this much discomfort and for so long. I do know tissue does get inflamed. Has anyone experienced this?

First of all, sorry for all of your discomfort!
I had the same thing happen to me. Had to get a ER appt with dentist, but of course MINE was off that day! Anway, I was told that when they do initial root canal, they stir up a lot of bacteria and along with blood, it can become very infected.
Not sure if that is what is happening to you. But you may need an antibiotic. After I took that everything with Root canal was fine.
Call and get in ASAP!

Thanks so much for the response. It has been one week and calmed down a bunch. At first I couldn't even touch the tooth with my tongue let alone bite on it. Much better but not 100% I will keep tabs on it and yes also thought of possible infection.
