Hello newly diagnosed so getting use to MS only symptom I've had was optic neuritis 5 months ago however recently I've had numbness in my fingertips in my left hand and left side of my face. My fingers are painful to bend. It's been going on now for almost 2 weeks. I saw my MS specialist last week about it and she said to just wait it out since its just sensory. What do I do? I need advice and help from you guys I feel that no on knows how this feels and everyone is just like oh well just wait it out get over it. What do you guys do to help with the numbness is there anything you can do or take???

Sorry this is happening to you and it can be frustrating and scary.
I too have intermittent bouts of numbness on my face etc but I do just wait it out. For me it doesn't last.
Unless I have a symptom that lasts more than several days or effects my mobility I let it come and go.
Hope this helps. You are not alone.

This is a common response from neurologists "its just sensory". Well to us, just sensory can feel really bad. I am sorry you are going through this. There is really not much you can do about it. Try to stay cool (temperature wise). At the first sign of weakness, call your neurologist, and then they can give you some IVSM.
Hopefully it will only last a couple of weeks.
Take care

Hello. Honestly, there is bugger all you can do. It will either go away, or it won't.
Make sure you get some decent rest. The whole MS thing is trying to behave as if there was nothing wrong.
If you had the flu, you'd take time to recover. It's sensory, and it sucks, but it's something you'll probably have to get used to.
Lisa is absolutely right. First sign of weakness, go get some 'roids.
