    Shoulder Pain??? Sleeping Sucks :(

I am not sure if I have a minor flare going on or what. But my shoulders are stiffening and in pain. With every passing night it is getting worse and lack of sleep is not helping.

How do you sleep? What do you use to help get comfortable? I have several pillows - 1 between my knees, 1 to help support my spine and a pillow to sleep on to help to keep my spine in alignment but for the past 2 weeks my shoulders into my arms have been burning in pain and they are getting weaker??? Any ideas.

I have taken flexeril to help with the spasticity. Should I take tramadol? Or what? I might be pulling out the massive pain pills shortly because it's getting so bad...I only use them when nothing else helps.

I am wondering if it is part of a flare up because I started falling into walls again and the ms hug keeps acting up ... yippee.

Any ideas would be great. Thanks in advance.

it sounds as if you have some prior experience with this. I used to get a burning pain on the upper part of my forearm, and nothing worked for me until the doctor ( neurologist) put me on gabapentin.

Other than that possibly an MRI could help. Best of luck to you. I hope you figure it out.

Lol, gabapentin it is then ... popping one now. Thanks for the insight. Keeping my fingers crossed that it helps.

I'm going to try and sleep with my thorax/shoulder brace and see if it helps ... still keeping fingers crossed...lol.

Relief would be great ... Thank you Hunterd for the insight!

Thank you Hunterd! The gabapentin worked ... I'll keep taking it for a few days then stop.

It is funny once one pain is controlled I realize all the other pain ... lol.

I wish we could take a vacation from our bodies ... lol.

Thanks again Hunterd ... your an angel!
