Laryngeal spasm?

Had a brief episode today of not being able to breath. Had a sip of coffee (didn't choke)all of a sudden there was no air movement in or out. I tilted my head back to open my airway and waited. Made some weird noises (stridor?)and after 30 seconds +/- could breathe. Has this happened to you?

it has not happened to me, ou are right that it could be laryngeal spasm but i would not be making any assumptions i would be getting checked out by my doctor asap

Yes. I was actually hospitalized for this. I could not eat without having severe shortness of breath. Determined to be spasms of my GI track and laryngeal area. On Baclofen 3x day. It helps.
