    Not sure who to see...

I have had a few bouts of ON in the past and it has always been my right eye that was effected. I have VERY poor vision in my left eye (20/200) due to 3rd nerve palsy and also a scratched cornea, my right is 20/25, so when my right eye goes I'm left with basically nothing. Yesterday I started having pain/discomfort in my left eye and my usually bad vision is even worse. Not sure if it is ON or if there is something else going on. My neuro is a neuro-ophthalmologist, should I call him or should I see I see a regular ophthalmologist?

My vote would be for the neuro-opthmalogist if you can get in there quickly. Otherwise, if there will be a delay getting an appointment, go with the reg. opthmalogist.

      Hi dcancellarich,

With your medical history I would suggest you make an appointment with your neuro-opthamologist.
