My husband and I got back from a mini-trip to Kansas City (about a 3-hour drive).
We drove up Sunday afternoon and spent the evening and night at a motel. (We always priceline.com our KC motels, and get nice ones, for a good price.) We lazed around all morning, and followed that with my bi-annual appointment at KU Med Center with my MS Specialist.
I commented, during the part of the neurological where I had to walk on my tip-toes and my heels, and walk toe-to-toe, how much better I thought I was doing that than I had two years ago. Dr. Lynch agreed. She thought it was a combination of my medication change in 2008, my weight loss in 2010/2011, and the less frequent and less severe MS flares in recent years, giving my brain an opportunity to heal a little bit.
Since it has been 5 years since my last MRI, and, since I haven't had one since switching meds from Betaseron to Copaxone, Dr Lynch would like me to have an MRI before my next appt in August, just to check on what changes there might be since 2008.
