No, it's not all bad... at least not bad all the time. Most of the posters here are seeking support when they are in a rough patch. The ones who are doing well don't post much unless for encouragement to "newbies" like you.
For me, MS caused me to quit smoking, eat healthy food, join the gym, and lose weight. As a result, I feel better than I did before diagnosis. Probably had the MS for ten or fifteen years before that. The tingling, weak feelings, etc. just come and go and I stay on the DMD.
Like others have said, hope for the best and deal with the worst.
