My partner was diagnosed in July 2012. Since then, she has vomited more than the last 15 years combined. Is this a symptom of the MS? She is on the Avonex pen, and wondering if it could be that. She has lost about 10-15lbs since she is afraid to eat, thinking she may get sick.

She definitely needs to be seen by her Doctor!! Losing 10-15 lbs is not normal in this circumstance. Excessive vomiting depletes the body of water (dehydration), and may alter the electrolyte balance in her body. Make an appointment!1st sx '89 Dx '99 w/RRMS - SP since 2010

I've never heard of excessive vomiting like that before and sounds like it could be a side effect from the medication, but definitely something that the doctor should be told about. I would even call the makers of avonex and let them know what's going on, maybe they would have some answers for you. I hope that it gets better soon.Comment
