    Tired eyes

I have had the most exhausting stretch of fatigue of my life. This has been going on for months. I have Amantadine, but have not tried it yet. New meds scare me.

I also have Graves Disease and have developed one very dry eye. But I have said for years and years (before my dx of MS) that if my eyes didn't hurt so much or feel so tired I'd feel fine. Lately my eyes are as exhausted as the rest of me.

Has anyone felt anything like this? I don't have ON, but I have had some of the weird eye issues at time where things just don't look right or look out of place. But my vision is fine (with glasses). I am on Restasis for the dry eye.

    hi!
my main MS sx is numbness over my whole body (you know, largest organ is skin)
but since 2007 that has also included my eyeballs (dr. touched them w/ kleenex tip had me looking other way, i didn't even blink!)
it's very weird. mine get dry a lot & feel 'fuzzy' . sometimes they just don't want to focus, but i do need an eye examine soon.

when i'm fatiqued it's all over also. included brain. even my ears want silence, i turn down the lights & sometimes am able to read nook book if on lowest light setting.
computer even bothers them when they're dry & fuzzy.
i just assumei'm not hydrated enough & drink more water.
    lots of meds cause dryness.

wish i knew what to tell you that would help.
you're not alone though, if that's any comfort.

take care & God bless ya!

Sounds like you have a V nerve palsy. Me too. Both sides. That wisp of cotton touch thing confirms it.. You should blink, but you will not if you have a palsy. It makes your eyes tired when reading.

Other palsies can do that too. Dry eyes certainly can do it as well.

It is always best original poster to see your eye doc about your trouble. I cannot read for more than 10 minutes at a time, but mine is more of an eye teaming issue secondary to INO. The dry eyes I have from V nerve palsy do not help.

      It is a hot mess.

See your eye doctor, it may be something simple they can treat. Start there.

Thanks. I don't think I have the palsy you're talking about, although I have a bit of TN at times. I have been seeing an eye specialist for almost a year now. Right now we're still using the Restasis. Yes, this is a mess.

Yes, I was actually talking to the other moderator. Sorry, I hijacked your thread!

Glad the Restasis is helping for now.

marti, i LOVE your tag line!!! got a chuckle out of that!
            thanks!! praying your feeling better!

            cyclist, thanks for the info!
wish there was something to do for it, but thankfully i wear glasses so they are mostly protected since i don't blink on command. tho i do blink, i win lots of stare down contests!

            take care all!
