I have spasticity in my legs in the form of tightness. When it gets really bad, I'm starting to notice that the pain is centered around my weakest joints. I am the only one this happens to? Is there anyway to limit the pain?

It's an interesting question. I have not spasticity, but hug in my hands and sometimes legs. It feels like spasticity in that there is tightness. Around certain joints, it's painful.
I think it is just normal osteoarthritis I would have with or without MS made worse by the tightness.
I've learned to live with it but have been contemplating going to an arthritis doctor.

you are not the only one with this.
When our muscles are tightened, it does tend to pull on joints and so on. Think about a bone/muscle skeleton. If a joint is weak/injured and so on -- and a muscle group gets activated that is near or around it,, it will cause strain on the area, thus pain.
If one also has arthritis, which I do have,, then it not only causes strain/pain/possible inflamation - but causes the joint to have additional issues that in many cases needs adressed.
Having a bone scan can show arthritis and inflamation - those are different than mri's. however a mri can show signs of arthritis as well. Depending on your insurance is to how much or if this will be covered, but so far outside of getting prior-auths - i have not had to worry about much.. outside of proving to the dr/specialist that I needed to have it done.
