    MS and Posttraumatic growth?

I had never heard of “Posttraumatic growth” before just the other day, when watching a TED.com video.
(Warning most TED videos will leave you feel jaw dropping hopeful about the future and dumb as a rock at the same time.)
But if you have had posttraumatic growth, then I think you will find them thought provoking and enlightening.

    This video has me feeling _ _ _ _ _ _ well _ _ _ the only word I think of is WOW!

I hope you follow MSers will enjoy.

    Hi Sir-Voor,

I did not go to the URL you provided. I have not heard the term Posttraumatic Growth. However, I have a pretty good idea of what is meant (unless TED is using the term differently ).

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder can literally change your life: thought process, fears, nightmares, anxiety/panic attacks, feeling unsafe in many or certain situations and even going as far as being agoraphobic.

The process to feel and be "normal" again can change your life once more...hopefully in a positive way, but is a very difficult process. You have no choice but to "grow" through the events that caused Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

    This URL may help explain:

Is it the opposite to post traumatic stress disorder? Or just getting really fat after a trauma?
      Sorry, being facetious. I'll have a look-see.

Posttraumatic Growth is a good thing; I’m sure you heard of people that after a traumatic or near death experience have a new zest for life and outlook.
It is kind of like that, so saying it is the opposite to post traumatic stress disorder is not the best way to describe it.

There is many aspects to the video titled “Jane McGonigal: The game that can give you 10 extra years of life” it can be literally a life changer.

Please that the time to watch it; I’m positive you will be glad they did.

          Mable, your welcome.

P.S. This video is from TED Ideas worth spreading and has nothing to do with Ted the movie.
