Terrible Pressure in head when I.....

Hello. I'll get right down to it....

For awhile now I've had neck pain (some days worse than others) when I bend my neck forward too far down I feel an awful pull in my spine & my head ears feel like they might pop... Odd.
I also get the "Full/Pressure" feeling in my head when I bend forward too far.
Last & most important & frightening is... If I lay on my stomach & try to prop myself up on my elbows I get this unbelievable Pressure in my head that makes me feel like my head will explode any moment, I always jump right up or turn onto my back ASAP.
Now I don't try this often but every now & then I want to see if it still happens & it sure does.
My lower back almost always has an ache & sometime PAIN.

Does anyone know what this is or have it too?
Someone said it might be CCSVI... But after reading about it I don't know.

As soon as my insurance comes in I will be seeing a doctor about this though.

Thank you & I pray everyone is staying cool indoors during this awful heatwave hitting us all.

    neck

Ok, the only thing I know about on your post is about the part where you bend your neck forward and get a pulsating bad sensation in your spine/back. I had this when I was first diagnosed. This DID go away. I cannot remember the correct word for it (darn MS), but I will tell you that it is fairly uncommon and most people with MS do not ever experience this, but a small % of us do. I do not think there was anything they were able to do about that, but that only happened at the beginning of my MS diagnosis. It might have went away due to all of the medicines they were starting me on for spasticity, Ms, migraines, etc. I hope you get the help you need soon! I am very sympathetic because I know how uncomfortable that feeling is.

      Me too!

That happens to me all the time. Not being able to prop my body up on my elbows without a pressure headache is a big problem for me because I read a lot and it's one of my natural reading positions. For me though I can lay on my stomach flat so if I forget and try the elbows, if I flatten out the pressure "equalizes" and the pressure slowly goes away. Then I just keep trying to stick my head up until I can do it with no headache.

I guess I'm a little stubborn, but it really is a great reading position. I thought at first it might be a heart/circulatory issue, but during and immediately after steriod treatments, it does not happen.

Also, in one of my ears the flap on the eustacian(sp) tube does not always open and then it doesn't open fully. I assumed that might have something to do with it.

I never associated the headaches and head stuffiness with the lower back pain and the stiff/tight neck.

I have had the same thing at least twice since diagnosed this year. I have not been able to find anything on it. I was sent to physical therapy but it didn't help. I get the awful headaches and instantly get sleepy. I have TN but this is not that. I tell my doctor everytime I see him I have terible headaches but he doesn't seem to be too worried about it. I have a new perscription for naproxen I hope it helps.

Because the sx you describe all happen in response to changes in the position of your spine, I would get them checked out by a spine specialist.

My spine doc is a physiatrist (http://www.aapmr.org/patients/aboutp...ysiatrist.aspx), and he's done a great job of determining which of my sx have a 'mechanical' explanation (bad discs, etc.) vs. a neurological explanation (e.g., MS).

            Thank you all.

I don't get the awful headache but I think that's because I move quickly When the feeling of my heads about to explode comes on lol!

As soon as I can I will be talking to a specialist.

            Thanks again.
