A funny thing happened to me at the grocery store

I always use a motorized grocery scooter at the grocery store. Thank goodness they have them. I'm really good at driving them. I'm not afraid to use them. Although there are obstacles when you do use them. Well I had a small accident, but I recovered. I was shopping n the card aisle (Mother's Day) and they had put a display near the cards. Of course right by the card I wanted. So I thought no problem, I'll get up out of the cart and reach for the card I wanted and I got it! Whoooo! Yipee! No, I don't think so!.

I went back and decided to sit back down on the cart and I misjudged and whoops! My butt didn't go on the seat. I wedged itself between the shopping basket and the seat on the scooter floor. Use your imagination! At that point, after shopping for a while I was pooped. OMG! What do I do? Thank goodness I wear a pouch that has my cell phone in it and I have the grocery's phone number programed in my phone and one of the clerk's and another gentleman came and rescued me. Thank goodness I had my cell phone and I'm sure that with time someone would have come to get me. Happy Mother's Day!

Oh ouch! Glad you didn't get hurt and can have a sense of humor about it~ I've had some of those carts poop out on me in the back of stores. Battery was low or something. Not fun.

The funniest (I can say that now) thing happened to me last year while shopping for some cards....,.they were on one of those single units that twirl around - out in the middle of some space right when you enter the store. Well, I'm standing there with cane and lose my balance, so what do I do? I grab hold of the card rack and the whole thing comes crashing down!! I mean- cards everywhere!!! I was so embarrassed. I thought the display was sturdier than it was!

Lots of folks and clerks came to my rescue and helped me put everything back. We do get in some predicaments, don't we?

If we don't find some humor in our pain we would spend our lives completely depressed.

Sorry for your troubles but thanks for sharing your story and your great attitude.

It feels better to laugh than to cry, even if it is not a happy event. (kind of like laughing at a funeral?)
