Am I the only one not seeing many dr's

It seems to me from reading posts that many here see alot of different dr's of various specilties, Am I the only one that only goes to a nuero and a GP. I have many available to me thru the VA hospital that I go to but just don't understand or see a need to go to others. Am I missing something?

I have had a couple of OT appts but that was to get the paperwork completed for my walkaide and scooter for which my nuero provided the referral. I see both the GP and Nuero every 6 months.
Plan for the future, but not too hard; it’s not your decision anyway

I don't see a lot of doctors either. See my GP every 3 months to monitor a thyroid issue and anything that might come up and neuro every 6 months for the MS. That's it for me.

I'm seeing lots of docs these days but it's just to establish various baselines. I was DX in October.

Since then I've seen my neurologist, a neuro-psychologist, a urologist, a Naturopathic Dr., a PT and my PCP. Once the baselines are established I anticipate seeing my neurologist every 6 months and my PCP once a year.

I just see Neuro and GP but trust my Neuro. Given a chance to see someone else (free), I would, to confirm my other two doctors if for no other reason. But not looking for one.

          Not me.

Just my neuro's NP every six months, my primary every six months (high BP), and my OB/GYN annually.

Like Sparky10, if it wasn't for this pesky MS I am relatively healthy.

          Be well,

Nope. I see my neuro every year, but the new doc says every 6 mos. I am going to need to see the neuro-opthamalogist once a year also. But that's it for me.

I go to my chiro every 4-6 wks for "maintenance" & use her as my GP.

Guess I am one of the LUCKY one's...Ha Ha Ha...
I see my MS specialist neuro every 6 months.. but then I have a few 'other' issues. I see my GP and diabetes endo every 3 months, my cardiologist tho is just once a year and a few others here and there. I guess I will also be going back to a neph (kidney doc) soon and I have an eye doc apt in a couple weeks.

At least I don't have an oncologist anymore...Ha Ha

I have been seeing my neuro every month, newly diagnosed, but I saw him yesterday and he told me I didn't have to come again for 2 more months, unless needed.
He does want to me to go to GP for times that concern me but not bad enough to go rushing to him, but I don't have a family GP and hate the process of shopping around for one.

I only see my neuro, gp, and ob/gyn. My neuro is every 3 months as of right now although I hoping in the next year that will cut back to every 6 months. I only see my GP if I'm having none MS issues which isn't too often. Of course my ob/gyn is once a year so all in all that's not too bad. Of course I always wish I could go back to not having to see a dr for anything short of a major infection lol.

Nope, I only have the two, I've just been seeing a lot of them in the past month since I developed trigeminal neuralgia.

OK thanks, it just seemed like I was the only one not seeing other specialists. I do see ENT for cancer follow up as they don't not have an oncologist on staff yet, but that is it, nothing for MS.

Besides the eye Dr. once a year, I just go to the Neuro and GP ver 6 months like you.
I have friends who are covered to see a psychologist, physical therapist and even more, but my Dr. list is very short.

I have not seen any Dr's of any type in the past year.

I used to go every 6 months but they can never do anything to help so I just quit going.

It just seems like alot of trouble and expense to have someone stand in front of me and shrug their shoulders and tell me nothing new.

If I start to feel alot worse I will go back but for now I prefer to avoid them.
Seeing a Dr just seems to depress me so for now I just do what I can thru nutrition and staying active.

I have my GP, neuro opth (ON) and obgyn.

This year I have seen a kidney dr cuz I had kidney stones yuck. I saw a cardio but she said I am fine. No need for one. Went to mayo and seen tons of sp Drs. However now I am back to the norm.
For MS just see GP neuro and eye dr for On. If not for the ON then just like you two Drs.
