paying for the weekend; life in general

Good morning fellow posters. what a weekend! I have had trouble just keeping my job and keeping the animals on the farm fed; let alone trying to clean the house. Always a lot of pain and fatigue. This weekend, I made a vow to get some cleaning done. (Kept that promise even after some stressful news about my "high risk" daughter and a disheartening argument with my husband)

I started in the kitchen. I cleaned the pantry out. every shelf stripped bare and wiped clean. I have to use a small step ladder to reach the top shelf and with my feet feeling like they had shards of glass in them, that was a major victory for me. It took me half of the day to do and by the time I was finished the pantry I was wiped and could barely walk...but I pressed on. I wiped all of my counter tops and dusted the living room. I had to sit down in between and it took the remainder of the day but i got it done!

Now every time I walk into the kitchen or living room, I feel a sense of pride and it lifts my spirits. Sounds silly i know but it just makes a huge difference!

But now i am paying for it. I am exhausted, trying to work but keep taking breaks. I have my first Neuro-psych testing today and I'm worried about that which probably prompted my need to keep busy this weekend.

But when the day is done; I get to go home to my spic-n-span kitchen and living room!
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst and that way you have all your bases covered.

I can simpathise. I painted the ceiling downstairs 20x40 on Saturday and could not get off the couch on Sunday. Hopefully can paint the walls tonight. I always seem to tackle more than I should and then pay for it after. Hang in there.
    Webbles

Weebles wobble but they don't fall down (much)

Hey Foxz - doesn't sound silly at all to me!! As a matter of fact you sound like "SUPER WOMAN!!!! Congrats to you on getting your cleaning done, and you have every right to be proud- I sure would be!!

When we remember how easy these things used to be for us and how they are now, it certainly is a big deal for sure!! To others it might not seem like it, but to us "ms'ers" cleaning can be a real challange now.

Hope your testing went good today. Casino

way to go webbles! That's awesome. The down time is never fun but it just feels good to get things done!

Thanks CasinoKathy! I don't know about "super woman" lol but its definitely more than I've gotten done in a long time. I know what you mean about how easy things used to be and aren't anymore. when we first moved to the farm I was training the colts, cutting wood, cleaning house and doing all sorts of great things, now most mornings I am doing good if i can get up and get the dogs out and get to work without too much pain. The test was interesting; I thought I would share it in another post.
