    Bilateral Walkaide

    Hello everyone,

Has anyone gotten approval through Medicare for the use of the Walk-aide device on one or both legs???

I have been trying for some time, but they are saying that it is still experimental and that they are only using it in patients that have an incomplete spinal cord injury???

Why can't we get any help, and why is it so hard to get the assitive devices we need??? Medicare has all these hoops to jump through and you just seem to spin your wheels whenever confronted with a situation like this.

So frustrated it makes me want to scream!!!!!

Thanks for listening and sharing your stories

They resist because it is very expensive for one. A friend got the Bioness for both legs from OVR, but found that it was very difficult to have both, I believe he has stopped using them.
