Hi. This is only my second post. They will end up being a lot alike but I really need help. My mom was diagnosed almost 9 years ago. She just got full-time in a chair in the last 2 years. And even after that she was still able to stand a little and transfer until recently. Now most of the time she cannot even do that. But she wants to remain living on her own as long as she can. We are working on moving her in with my brother full time in the spring. Now I come to her house at least 3 times a week. I help her get to the shower, clean her house and just do whatever I can to help her stay in her home as long as she can. Last week as I was helping her transfer I hurt my back. I have been having a hard time since, not only at her house but also with my children. I read another post that sad something about a sit to stand lift. My mom checked them out. I was wondering if anyone knows how we could ahold of one of those that does not costs thousands of dollars. Any help would be great.
