RIGID OR HINGED? need input for afo

hi all, i picked up my afo today. fits great but still my foot catches on the ground. my afo is hinged. i would like to know if i need a rigid model or can he somehow raise my toes up a little by shortening the gap of the hinge please help barry

The person who fitted it for you needs to watch you walk with it, to see what the problem is.

I have only used the rigid ones, a molded light plastic one that goes down the back of my leg, and a Toe-Off graphite one. Both came from JE Hanger, a prosthetics and orthotics company. They always had me come back after a few days with it to adjust any problems.

I went to Hanger myself and they replaced my original one with a different type as I was not happy with it, it was a carbon fiber one and mfg guarantees that you are happy with it.
Plan for the future, but not too hard; it’s not your decision anyway
