    Headaches and weird eye feelings

Hey everyone. I am a 32 yr. old mother of 2. I was diagnosed 5 yrs. ago and I have been lucky enough to have very few flares and fairly mild symptoms. I am not on any medications for my MS at this time.

Recently I have been having headaches every day. Some pretty severe ones that seem to get worse when I stand up. I have also noticed that every time I wake up, it feels like my eyes are quivering. I can't see any strange eye movements in the mirror though.

I was just wondering if anyone else had anything like this and if it might be MS related. Thinking I might need to make a nuero appt. I have not seen him for 18 mo.

    Hi purpleivy:
Your headaches might be MS related, they might not. The only way to know is to see your doctor and get them checked out. Any new onset of headaches in anyone should be checked out medically. Even if they are MS related, it doesn't mean they should be overlooked. It's definitely time to see your neurologist.

While we're on the subject of the neuro, it's great to know that you've had only mild symptoms for such a long time. But 18 months is too long for someone with a chronic illness to go without seeing their specialist. A regular visit at least once per year keeps your medical records more up to date, keeps the doctor-patient relationship "fresher" and makes life a lot easier when you find suddenly that you do need to see the doctor. (I see my neuro once a year even though the exam is pretty basic and we don't otherwise do anything. She at least remembers who I am when she sees me.) Think of it like having your car serviced regularly even if you don't think you need it. You'll thank yourself later. Hope you get to the bottom of those headaches and feeling better soon!

      Hi purpleivy..love that name!
I have not been diagnosed with ms and I'm just now starting with a new neuro.
I have quivering in my left eye also but don't see it moving either.
you explained it just like I would have. also the headaches everyday, but it's more of a pressure on the left side of my head and thats where my eye quivers. also that whole side of my left face feels like a pressure pain.
what kind of headaches do you get? are they like mine a pressure type feeling or more of a pulsing, pounding?
I know my post didn't help with an answer and I hope you don't mind me asking. I hate dealing with those symptoms everyday also
GOD BLESS AND HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER, LINDA

As Redwings said, those sx's may be ms related, or it may be something else, only your doctor will be able to tell. My MS has a fairly mild course, and I see my neuro every 6 months, at her bidding.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says, "I will try again tomorrow."

My eyes quiver, and do all sorts of other strange things. I also have a lot of headaches. I agree also with redwings, 18 months is too long to not see the neuro when you have MS - even if it is goin well. Now is a great time to catch up. I really hope you feel better soon, I deal with headaches and eye pain, not fun at all. HUGS.
