I am having problems posting and finding my way back

Ok, so I post here but than can't find any answers when I come back.. Duh that's just me..

Anyway I was wondering I have noticed I have alot of potty calls all day and all nite no matter how much or how little I drink. Is this just me or is it it MS related? My doc decided to go on vacation with no back up, so I can't ask him.. Not at all happy about him leaving me hi and dry after dxing me and just leaving. So ya'll are my only support.

I'm not sure what the problem is, hapbear. I checked your previous posts, which were on your thread in the Tell Us About Yourself forum, and you got several responses. Did you forget which forum you posted in?

Frequent urination can be a symptom of MS, or it can be caused by other things. Some people with MS have trouble emptying their bladders completely, which can cause frequency. You may need to be evaluated by a specialist (urologist).

Depending on the cause, there are medications that may help.

Those frequent potty calls are very frustrating. It is common to have to go every half hour or hour both night and day. Some times medcation can be taken to help. Often it does not work. It is just one of the MS problems.

        Hi Hapbear,

I was a little lost when I first started too. You can search your own posts and threads by clicking on the "search" tab mid way at the top on the blue strip, or click on "new posts" on that same blue strip and then look to on the left at the little mail envelopes, the ones with an arrow through them are ones you have commented on.

Those frequent potty calls can really cramp your style. I have taken amitriptyline at bedtime for this problem and it is very effective. I barely ever get up at night to pee. When your neuro returns, this may be a med he'll recommend. Added advantage is it makes me sleepy.

hapbear, the easiest way to 'find your way back' is to click on New Posts (6th in line on the blue line running atop the Message Boards) when you first come to the board. You'll then be able to read any new postings that have been posted since your last visit.

Also, you can click UserCP (first on the blue line) and choose Your Profile. Once in there, click Statistics and you'll be able to click for either all of your posts or all of your threads.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having so many problems. Talk to your neurologist and MAKE him/her answer any questions you have right now! You deserve that!!
