    Pain

    Hi

The pain that comes and goes with this disease is something that would send a healthy patient to the emerg dept. Overand time we learn to deal with it and take the medications that will slightly help or plug in the heating pad to help with the hug that grips our ribs and stomach. I have been having pain across ribs lately and not much is helping. just wondering what the readers of this forum do when having GI pain/hug ect. It is definately not one of my favorites.

    love the avatar btw

for hug I sit with a pillow and well.... hug it. It's not one of my favs either and not a lot seems to help me. I am so very glad you posted this question! You are so very right about the emergency room.

I am more likely to have neck and arm pain on a daily basis. I have become very good friends with my bottle of ibuprofen. But I do go through life with a low level pain constantly in the background on good days.

      Hi Tom

I am seeing a pain management specialist. You have to educate them a bit about MS, but mine is willing to listen. You don't want a pill-pusher, just someone who knows about neuro issues. I would ask the neurologist if he/she can refer you to a clinical specialist.
