    7 LONG YEARS....

I talked to my new neuro about a hour ago. He said the MRI from Weds. confirmed his suspicions of MS. He told me he had received my chart from my previous "MS Specialist" and my VEP tests were abnormal and I should have been dx'd from that test alone. That was 2 years ago.
To be honest it is a bitter sweet ending. You do not want to have MS but you want to know what is wrong with you. The satisfaction is knowing you are not crazy and it is real.
So now my dear loving wife of 27 years and I begin a new journey knowing that God does not put more on us than we can handle.
Dx'd 4/1/11. First symptoms in 2001. Avonex 4/11, Copaxone 5/12, Tecfidera 4/13 Gilenya 4/14-10/14 Currently on no DMT's, Started Aubagio 9/21/15. Back on Avonex 10/15

It's hard to beat a person that never gives up.

I'm sorry you have MS, but glad you finally got the answers you need after so long. Your experience gives me hope that maybe someday, I'll find some answers too. (I've been in limbo for five years.)

        Best wishes and hugs,

        Lisa
Joy is not the absence of suffering. It is the presence of God.
Cut aspartame from my diet in 2012 and my symptoms have slowly disappeared. Interesting!

I'm glad that you are finally out of limbo and have an official diagnosis. Now you can start treatment. Contact the MS Society and have them send you the collection of booklets for the newly diagnosed. The more you know, the better armed you will be. Ask a lot of questions, this board is a good place for answers. God Bless.

I'm glad that you now have your answer. Sad that it is MS. I was DX in Sept. '10, so definitely a newbie here.

I remember when I was DX I went through all the emotional stuff. Then hubby and I brushed ourselves off. We knew then it was time to fight and we knew what we were fighting.

It's always easier to fight a battle when you know what the battle is about. Good luck to you with yours.
