    Which doc to talk to?

Going for my annual gyn. appt./check-up tomorrow. I've armed myself with a rather lengthy list of topics to discuss with him. After making this list, I got to thinking and am not sure if I should bring some of this up to him, my MS neuro. or both (and then throw the GP in the loop, just so he isn't left behind).

I'm fairly certain that some of my issues in the sex dept. are MS related (very similar to some of the issues I've seen discussed in other threads on this forum), but I don't want to fall into the trap of thinking everything that is wrong is due to MS.

What are your thoughts? Tell one, two or three doctors? And if I SHOULD tell the neuro and/or GP, do I wait for my next appointment (none set at this time), or call and set up a time to go talk specifically about these issues? Keeping in mind that I have to travel to the next state over to see my neuro.

That's a good question. I would let all of your docs know. And hopefully they can all be in and stay in sync.

This may be too late, your gyn appointment is today and a great place to start asking that doc your questions. Let us know how your appointment went!

I personally would be reluctant to bring up certain subjects with my neuro, which is why I have other specialists on my list of docs like my ENT and urologist.

I have always had a good response from my gyn doc for any type of concern, hope you do too.

          Thanks & update

I did go ahead and discuss my issues with the ob/gyn. He listened and suggested a few things to try. I'm also going to contact the other 2 doctors and let them know what's going on.

I didn't do that today, though, because the gyn. wants to do a few tests tomorrow morning. I'll wait to hear what comes of that before contacting the other docs.

Thanks again for the opinions and suggestions.

Heretoday: sorry, I've no experience whatsoever with fibromyalgia.

Wondering how your testing went? What are they looking for? Just thinking of you!

Thanks for thinking of me, Justsay ... we ended up doing 2 biopsies. He thinks both of the areas are nothing to worry about, but wants to be sure. I should know something in a few weeks.

You know, those annual exams were never comfortable, but they didn't used to hurt. Stupid MS.

Anyway, I'm still truckin' right along. Hope you are all doing well, too.
