When I was dx my neuro told me not to drink. I'm thinking- not a problem because I only have a couple of wine coolers maybe during the summer months and maybe 1 mixed drink a year. THE GREEN BAY PACKERS ARE THE SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS!!!!! SO HUBBY AND I CELEBRATED WITH A GOOD STIFF DRINK, AND I DIDN'T LOSE MY BALANCE YET! YEE-HAA!!!

I haven't had a drink since my dx, so I've been curious about how I would feel. I think I've had such cog fog, that I feel high half the time anyway! LOL!

I am also thrilled that the Packers have won again!
The best part is I will probably get to watch more games next year because the Super Bowl Champs always get good TV coverage.

I quit drinking for the most part about 10 years ago.
No moral issue. My problem is that 1 hits me like 5 now and I hate that wasted feeling.
I will still have one once in a while but it is rare and I have to be feeling pretty good to begin with.

If I watched the game and did not have a drink...am I still from Wisconsin?

Hey tommylee, Yes- Wisconsin--beer, brats and cheese - all fattening for sure. Never like the taste of beer, LLOOVVEE CHEESE and only have the occasional brat during the summer.

Thanks for cheering for the Pack! I remember as a teenager, drinking just because it was "cool" Didn't like "getting sick" though. Never want to do that again. Maybe we do get smarter as we age, huh??!!

I haven't had a drink in 10yrs. But on Christmas there was a toast & I had a sip of wine,to toast. I didn't fall down or anything,as I was seated & only took a small sip!
I'm in a fog most days,so why waist good wine!.

If I didn't drink I would've started after hearing the Aguilera version of our anthem. Jesus wept but that was awful.

Since we hate Pittsburg here in Cleveland, I was also routing for Green Bay, but I also drank yesterday. Had a beer and then I was so tired, I fell asleeep on couch and missed most of the game. I did see the end and am so glad Green Bay WON

Most of us Steeler fans were happy to see GB win if not us.

That team and their organization is very much like ours. Good guys on the team also. Congrats to them.

I'm Happy for those whose team won!

I for the most part do NOT drink but every now and then I'll have something to drink but it's rare and like some others one seems to hit me as if I've had the whole 6 pack most often and if I have 3 I'm sick to my stomach because I'm so darn dizzy I can't do anything but lean over the potty. LOL!

YEAH GREEN BAY PACKERS!! What a humble, deserving team who beat adversities and persevered with many players lost to injuries even DURING the Superbowl.

Glad you got to have a drink and its ok with you. I have had wine with dinner (never w/o food) at Thanksgiving but dont keep any alcohol around. AND with my personality I dont need a drink to celebrate..I am fine without it !!

I take way too many meds to risk falling. But YEAH..still so happy after that nailbiting game!!
