    MS in Colorado?

Where's everyone from? I read that Colorado had some of the most cases of MS. Makes me wonder about the mountains/altitude etc.

    I'm from Denver.

    Hi Look2

There is a greater incidence of MS in the northern latitudes.

Here is a link that shows a map with the high incidences of MS:

    http://www.msrc.co.uk/index.cfm/fuse...ow/pageid/2325

Also, info from the National MS Society:

I'm in Washington state, but grew up in Denver. My neuro said that probably had a lot to do with getting MS.

I was diagnosed with MS 2 years after moving to Colorado.

I grew up in California and have had symptoms since childhood. My MS is not due to living Colorado

I live in Denver too, but I think my MS is more related to genetics than related to living in CO. (My father's sister had MS.) I grew up on the east coast, then lived in the midwest and moved to CO in the early 1990s. Love it here!

North of Colorado Springs. Been in area for 24 years. Grew up in Wisconsin. I never had any problems untill after moving to a higher altitude but I was 22 when I moved here. Felt great first 6 years I lived here.

Wish I could just move south and have it go away.
I went to see family in Tennesee last summer and felt awful most of the time. (super hot and humid). If Colorado causes MS? It also seems to be a good place to treat it or live with it. I feel best at home @7500 feet.

Utah is where I was diagnosed. It is what it is!

Yea, after all the doctors had asked me if MS was in my family history, and NO ONE as far back as we can look ever had it.

That's why it was so weird for me to learn I prob have it..

Interesting cuz I've always heard that Washington state has the highest incident in the states! Go to http://www.whyhere.org/

Also read from Koko's url http://www.msrc.co.uk/index.cfm/fuse...ow/pageid/2325 that Canada has the highest incident in the world!
