I'm new and have a friend in IL who is losing his house

They have put his house into foreclosure already and now has no where to go. He's in a wheelchair, no family and no real income.

I need to help him, but I have no idea where to start. Is there a phone number in the Chicago land area we can call to get him the proper help he needs? I think he could afford a small apartment but he needs someone to care for him a few times a week.

Many thanks for you help in advance and I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong subforum.

Jrjoet, I wish everyone had friends as good as you, it make me for good knowing that there are people in this world like you.

If I was his friend the first thing I’d try to do is to stop the foreclosure.
So I’d contact his bank and try to work something out, the
National Multiple Sclerosis Society may be able to help with stopping the foreclosure.

Second thing I’d do is take him to a local MS support group, MSers love helping other MSers.
You could meet someone that could help him work the system or even could help with his care.

In Chicago you can call 311 to get in touch with the

Mayor's Office of People with Disabilities(M.O.P.D.) or

Access Living these are very helpful for people with MS

          and others. Good Luck.
