CHANGES AT MSWORLD - MSWORLD'S CLOSURE

We began with a mission and purpose to help others living with MS.

We were excited to get going!

And hit a few bumps along the way…

However, in all seriousness, we remain grateful for our amazing volunteers, members & all who have made MSWorld a valuable resource for all!

July 10, 2024, we celebrated the goodness of these past 28 years. With a heavy heart, we will be ending our services.

We need a financial miracle to keep going forward.

We thank all for your support.

MSWorld's website will close on October 16, 2024.

“I personally want to wish all of you the guidance to find this type of support, as so many do here. Also, my prayers and love extends beyond my understanding. It has been a pleasure to steward this journey.”

God Bless you, Kathleen

    Shortness of breath

Is shortness of breath also MS related? I'm only a 46years old, a 150lb, 5'-10'', Male. I still walk (off balance & slow now) but when ever I walk up two or more flights of stairs, I have a hard time breathing.
I had broncitis 15 years ago ( plus I think that activated my MS, because about 6 months after that), it was then I had my 1st MS symptom,

Maybe some of your meds doing that? When I first started Copaxone I had similar issues, they were mostly psychosomatic problems after I had an IPIR I had trouble breathing for about 2 weeks. They put me on tranquilizers/antidepressants and it slowly went away. I was so scared of getting one more reaction like that that I anticipated my shot going wrong every night. I took a brief Copaxone vacation and gradually came back on to every day. No issues since.
    RRMS Diagnosed December 2009,
    on Copaxone December 2009-October 2011 -
    Starting interferons hopefully soon.

MS can have an effect on respiratory function: http://ms.about.com/od/signssymptoms...ratory_gen.htm

However, it's easy to fall into the trap of chalking many of our health issues up to MS. It's better to be safe than sorry and address it with your doctor.

        Hi lectricman,

I'd visit a doc. I'm 60 @ about your height & weight, taking C and in pretty good shape too.

I have no problems with endurance (although reps with weights at gym have at times caused spasticity). No cardio work causes me to be out of breath.

Like MrsBones.... It's better to be safe than sorry and address it with your doctor.
