Neuros in NC - Wake Forest?

Anyone know why Dr, Jackson and now Dr. Jeffrey are leaving Wake Forest. It is making me nervous to lose a neuro every year since my diagnosis! I guess I'm switching to their new neuro but I'm a little worried about what is going on there with all this turnover. Wake Forest is still top notch in NC for MS right??

I did not know this, and I have an appointment with Dr. Jeffery in early October. I have had a terrible time finding a decent neuro for routine MS care, and now that I have finally found one, he is leaving?

Wake Forest has a good reputation, and I researched the various options before I moved to North Carolina, but maybe I should just make the trip to back to Mayo Clinic, even if it is a long way. I get tired of changing doctors all the time.

I just got the letter about Dr. Jeffrey today. Yours will probably come soon. It did say they have an ms specialist neuro from Mayo to switch to, and they are having a nationwide search to hire another neuro for the MS clinic.
Seems wierd though - lots of turnover and I wondered why...

Was Dr. Jackson a MS Specialist also? I wonder what happend for Jackson and Jeffrey to leave. Dr Jeffrey is going to Advance Neurology & Pain in Advance, NC where he will continue specializing in MS in November.

I am not at home in North Carolina, as I am temporarily working in Arizona, and my husband says he is too busy to read my mail, there is too much of it.

Has Dr. Jeffery already gone, or might he be there on October 4 when my appointment is? Should I call the clinic tomorrow and check? I guess I answered my own question - obviously I shouldn't bother flying all the way from Phoenix to Charlotte for an appointment that won't happen.

I guess I need to hire one of those mail forwarding services that receives and opens my mail, scans it, then emails it to me. Or get a better husband who is not so lazy.

Wake Forest has a new neurologist who has an amazing bedside manner and is very good (Mayo clinic fellowship trained). Her name is Dr. Abu-Seid. I saw her and then Dr. Jeffrey when she was on vacation and then her last week.

I'm rescheduling with her too. I'm looking forward to meeting her.

I too am a patient of Dr. Jeffrey's but am willing to see Dr. Abu-Seid. I would to know why the center has lost two neuro's lately...

This may be alittle off the subject. I wanted to add that they are starting a trial for Daclizumab at WFU and this may be helpful for people who have failed other therapies.
