    Oh, the frustration....

Heard from the neuro today. My LP is still O band negative.

I still can't have an MRI due to the Interstim.

The auto-antibody tests that he ordered were NOT ran when they did the LP so I get to go to the lab this week and have them done.

Also, he is sending me for a second opinion to an MS specialist.

Symptomatically I am a bit better but only due to meclazine and scopalamine. The buzzing in my head is the same.

I do have an appointment with a urologist this week and am seriously considering having the Interstim removed so that I can have an MRI (it might save my life at this point).

    Oh, so frustrated!

Hey wobbler, sorry your having such a hard time. I'm not sure what part of Alabama your from, but there is a wonderful MS specialist in Cullman.
I hope things get figured out for you.

oh Wobbler Nobody deserves to suffer so much. I can tell you are a strong woman but it is certainly ok to be frustrated. I too have the vertigo and tinnitus which 'bout drives me mad sometimes. Meclizine oh thank God for meclizine! I hope you get that appt. with the specialist soon. I agree with you about the MRI. I think it is vital. God Bless You! We are thinking of you. Remember God said we would not suffer alone, He is with you and he can take all the anger you can give him it's ok.

Well since I posted this, I found a place in Louisiana that might MRI me with the Interstim in place. They did a study and say it is not a problem.

The doc in Cullman is about 1 1/2 hours from where I am and my doc is sending me there for a second opinion.

I am hoping to hear from my neuro's office tomorrow as to when to go to the lab for the other tests.

        Thanks for the encouragement.

Wobbler, he is my ms specialist. Be prepared to wait when you go to see him. You will see why when you see him. He will make you feel like no one else is waiting to see him, like he has all day just for you. He has patients that come from all over Alabama.

          Glad your Feeling slightly better.

          Be well.

                This is my current update.

The labs the doc ordered last Friday were not taken so I am going today with a friend to get them done.

A local MRI clinic called me (after I begged in an e-mail) and they are going to do research and see if they are willing to let me in the MRI (with Interstim in place).

The place in Louisianna is going to try to get me into some trial for the MRI, but I am hoping the local guy comes through for me.

I made an appointment with a new urologist to talk about removal of the Interstim in the event I can't get an MRI soon.

I have a bit of a headache today and my pupils are a bit dialted so my vision stinks, having to wear reading glasses for the laptop.

Basically, more tests and at the mercy of the local clinic to be able to rule out or confirm the MS.

Thanks for thinking and praying for me.

                  Hi Wobbler........

                  Doc Gomer here......

DID they test for MBP, Meylin Basic Protien? My LP was neg for O-bans but my MBP was quite high, also suggestive of MS, same as O-bands are.

Q? Would they consider removing the anti-MRI device, do a COMPLETE MRI series, brain and FULL spine, and anything else in the MRI realm, then re-install it?

Doc Gomer Gray matter at work .
