More information given on Rhizotomy surgery for Trigeminal Neuralgia.

Your put under anesthesia and the doctor then inserts a needle into the cheek. You are awakened by the doctor to tell him whether it is in the right spot or not. Then the doctor puts you back in lala land. The nerve is burned in that spot. The doctor says after the proceedure pain will almost be gone instantly also no scar only a needle hole. This proceedure does not take very long in and out the same day.

Is that cutting the nerve? My cousin had that procedure, now she feels like she has had 5 shots of novacaine that never go away. Drooling, can't drink without spilling most of it. She's not a happy camper. But the pain from TN was too much.
