Giacomoperti--hard to say on when it will kick in, as with all MS meds we all respond differently. Some right away, others a week or 2, and I have read some that didn't notice a change until about a month or so.

Unfortunately- some don't notice any improvements. Here's hoping you will notice some improvement real soon! Good luck! Kathy

        Ampyra-YES,YES,YES!!

It's now been almost 5 hours since my walking has significantly improved and I'm still going strong. I think I will be staying up all night- having way too much fun to go to bed!

Last night I had been walking around in the house with my cane, feet were feeling terrible. All of a sudden -it was really easy to walk - feet felt light and alot of tingling going on. This is FANTASTIC!!

Wanted to share this good news with all of you that are also on Ampyra- that there is hope! I've been on it since July 1 and although I have seen alot of improvements- my walking has been up and down- mostly down, but have had good parts of days and afew good days altogether. Balance had improved slightly, still along way so go.

I have been reading alot of stories on Web MD about how people are doing on this pill. Some are showing improvement fairly fast, some slower and unfortunately some not at all, or they quit taking it on account of bad side effects.

I still call it the Miracle Pill- I just might get be getting my walking papers yet!!! YEE-HAH!!!

I started on Ampyra in August, about the 4th day my walking was really improving, and then on the 12th day fell 3 times in 18 hours. I have gotten much worse with Ampyra and have decided to get off it. This is the 3rd day without it, the first 2 days were horrible, but I'm starting to feel like I did "pre" ampyra. The whole time on it, I had terrbile insomnia and my legs were like rubber and would collapse beneath me. I've read a lot where people seem to good intially and then get worse

Sorry to hear this Sandi. What a disappointment.
